The #1 Challenge of Every Job Seeker or Career Changer

The most challenging question every job seeker faces is that of "What do you want to do now?" If you don't know, it's time to think about it. If you could do anything, what would it be?

How to Write a Resume that Translates to a NEW Job or Career

If your resume screams that you are a teacher who doesn't want to teach anymore, you won't get anywhere. Your resume needs to speak to the job you want, not the one you have.

How to Write a Compelling Cover Letter that Will Get Read

Your cover letter should explain why you are leaving your current career and want to embark on a new one. Don't make the mistake most people make with their cover letter. Write a compelling one.

Optimize Your LinkedIn Profile and Embrace Your New Professional Brand

Have you spent quality time on your LinkedIn profile since you set up the account years ago? Do you have an up-to-date headshot? Is the cover photo cusomized? Have you customized your LinkedIn URL? Just a few things to think about.

Learn the Basics and Necessity of Professional Networking

You won't find your dream job sitting at your desk. You need to get out and meet people. Find groups who are interested in the same jobs or professions that you want to pursue. Attend Meetup groups. Meet people! Get introductions!

Discover How to Interview, Talk about Yourself, and Land Your New Job

If you don't know how to talk about yourself in your interview, you will never get offered the job. Learn how to present yourself with confidence and poise. Know what questions to anticipate. Be prepared. Do your research. Get hired!

“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Kitty on my career transition and also getting to know her personally. She has been encouraging and supportive while walking with me on my journey. Kitty has been the key to helping me develop my LinkedIn page, refine my resume to the latest standards and giving me a better way to express myself when writing cover letters.

Although I came into this professional relationship knowing what I wanted to do, I can appreciate her knowledge and ability to guide people through the exploration process by asking the right questions to promote the right kind of personal exploration.” ~ Donnovan M., Former Teacher & School Administrator

Why: Because you deserve a job or career you love.

Not sure ? I've got a story for you...

I remember when I was at my own point of burnout. Ironically, it didn't happen while I was working as a teacher and elementary school librarian which I did for 33 years. It happened while I was President of the Virginia Education Association from 2008-2012.

When it was time for my term to end, I was on track to go back to my school district, but my new assignment meant teaching middle school English. I hadn't taught English since 1980. And the job had worn me out then, when I was in my 20's.

I wasn't in my 20's anymore. I knew I didn't have the physical stamina for the job. I also knew that I didn't want to have to learn the state standards or participate in the testing regimen that I don't believe is in the best interest of children.

What to do?

After much soul searching, I realized I only had one choice. I had to quit. If I couldn't bring my best effort tot the job (and I knew I wouldn't be able to) that was my only real option.

The decision to leave education was not only a difficult one, it put me at a career crossroads. I was totally unprepared to do anything other than teach or be a school librarian! Or at least that is what I thought.

Then I hired a career coach.

She helped me see the many other alternatives that I had. And here I am today.

I first became a certified Life Strategies and Stress Management Coach. Then I got training as a Career Transition and Job Search Coach and worked with an international career coaching company for fourteen months. I later added certifications in Holistic LIfe and Sleep Science Coaching.

I now help teachers reignite their passion and redirect their skills and experience into new fulfilling careers.

I have helped dozens of teachers like Michelle (above in the Case Study) who have hit the wall of burnout find ways to manage their stress and discover new ways to approach their careers.

This Master Class will be your first step toward claiming the freedom you crave if you are experiencing burnout of your own.
